As a hybrid field, largely influenced by the disciplines of art and psychology, Art Therapy and Coaching uses the creative process and pieces
of art created to help people develop self-awareness, explore emotions, address unresolved emotional conflicts, improve social skills, and
raise self-esteem. Art therapy primarily aims to help individuals experiencing emotional and psychological challenges achieve personal wellbeing and improved levels of function.
Art therapy can improve communication and concentration and can help reduce feelings of isolation. This relatively young type of therapy
has also been shown to lead to increases in self-esteem, confidence, and self-awareness.*
To put it in simple(r) words:
Art therapy is a medium for helping adults & children alike deal with challenging emotions and express their thoughts and feelings. Art therapy
allows us to process experiences, and helps reduce stress and anxiety. By providing a safe place to express negative feelings and emotions,
art therapy can help improve mental, emotion, and physical well-being.
The Confident Colors Program
What is the Confident Colors Program?
The Confident Colors Program is a short-term coaching tool, specifically designed for children, and entirely solution-focused. With the
help of positive affirmations and a holistic, systemic approach, my role as a coach and mentor is to find individually tailored tools and
techniques to support your child’s self-esteem and resilience – a close collaboration with your child.
We will use different art projects to discover underlying beliefs and blockages, whilst creating the most colorful (im)possibilities. There
are no rules, no right and wrong when it comes to art! Unleashing our creativity can lead to a whole new point of view – and this can
guide us to innovative solutions in the process.
The Confident Colors Program includes 3 individually themed art sessions, each 2 hours, plus one session to sum up our experience and
conclude what we´ve learned. The sessions can either be one-on-one, or in small groups of max. 3 kids. Recommended age is from 5 – 12
years old, but individually applicable. Feel free to contact me if you have questions!

I will be guiding the kids in working towards a calm, confident state of mind, finding their own strengths in our wonderfully colorful
creative process. If requested and / or beneficial, I will include parents & caregivers in this program.
